Flux Pinning Properties of BaHfO<sub>3</sub>-Doped YBa<sub>2</sub>Cu<sub>3</sub>O<sub>y</sub> Coated Conductors Fabricated at Various Substrate Temperature and Thickness Per Pulse by Pulsed Laser Deposition with Substrate Self-Heating Technique

In superconducting coil applications, magnetic fields are applied to material from various directions. YBa2Cu3Oy (YBCO) coated conductor containing BaHO3 (BHO) flux pinning centers is expected be used as application. this study, BHO-doped YBCO films were prepared by changing the substrate temperature (Ts) and thickness per pulse (tpulse) using pulsed laser deposition method. As a result, isotropy of critical current density vs field angle (Jc-θ) curve was improved in film fabricated under condition low Ts high tpulse. cross-sectional transmission electron microscopic observation, it confirmed that BHO nanorods with gradually increasing tilt angles grew film. The surface atomic force microscope images also grains three-dimensional island growth. shape determined growth rate BHO, which affects nanorods.
